MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202644052200 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy on April 24, 2026, for Downlink Control Information (dci) Retransmission For Enhanced Two-Stage Dci Robustness.

Inventors include Hathiramani, Navin; and Tervo, Oskari.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A method is provided that includes receiving, from a network, a configuration for multi-stage downlink control information (DCI) including a first stage DCI and at least one second stage DCI. The method includes determining that when a failure to successfully decode at least one second stage DCI transmission happens, a second- stage retransmission instead of a full retransmission is to be performed. The method includes successfully decoding a first stage DCI transmission for a multi-stage DCI from the network to obtain a first stage DCI that carries information associated with at least one second stage DCI transmission for the multi-stage DCI. The method includes detecting a failure to successfully decode the at least one second stage DCI transmission. And the method includes storing the first stage DCI, and monitoring for at least one second stage DCI retransmission for the multi-stage DCI from the network. Fig. 1
