A slant supportive rest (9) on the bottom side gravityaligns each drill bit against a first probe (S1). A microcontroller interface (7) is connected to the probes (4), an LCD display (5), and a touch button (6). When the button (6) is pressed momentarily, the microcontroller (7) determines which sequential probes are contacted by the drill bit body, sums the corresponding 50 mm graduations, and digitally displays the total flute length in millimeters on the LCD display (5).
