Abstract: DRUG DELIVERY SCAFFOLD AND METHOD FOR TREATING MYIASIS-AFFECTED WOUNDS ABSTRACT A drug delivery scaffold (100) for treating myiasis-affected wounds is disclosed. The drug delivery scaffold (100) comprising a polymer composite matrix (104) to form a therapeutic scaffold (102), an antibacterial agent (106) incorporated within the polymer composite matrix (104), a tissue regenerative compound (108) embedded within the polymer composite matrix (104), an anti-parasitic therapeutic agent (110) for larval elimination, and a controlled-release structure (114) to release the antibacterial agent (106), the tissue regenerative compound (108), and the anti-parasitic therapeutic agent (110) in a sustained manner at a wound site (112). The drug delivery scaffold (100) provides localized therapeutic treatment, larval elimination, infection prevention, and tissue regeneration through a controlled-release therapeutic scaffold structure. The drug delivery scaffold (100) provides sustained therapeutic delivery and structural wound support for accelerated recovery of myiasis-affected tissue regions.
