Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a periodontal probe designed for simultaneous determination of gingival sulcus depth and width. The probe comprises a cylindrical handle, a contra-angled shank, and a working end with a rounded probe tip of predetermined diameter. The working end is provided with a continuous measurement scale incorporating color-coded markings for depth assessment. The predetermined diameter of the probe tip functions as a reference gauge for estimating sulcus width based on resistance encountered during insertion into the gingival sulcus. The probe is fabricated from medical-grade stainless steel and is compatible with standard sterilization procedures. The invention enables improved clinical decision-making in periodontal and restorative procedures.
