MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611074020 A) filed by Sumit Kumar; and Renu Devi on June 15, 2026, for Dual-Axis Solar Tracking Apparatus.
Inventors include Sumit Kumar; and Shashank Kumar Jha.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: A dual-axis solar tracking apparatus (100) for orienting at least one solar panel according to a solar position is disclosed. The apparatus (100) comprises one or more ground poles (106, 157), a solar panel holding pipe (119, 149) mounted through bearing assemblies (116, 158, 159), a motor (101), and a gear box assembly (112) coupled through a motor shaft (182). A solar panel support assembly (153, 164) is connected to the solar panel holding pipe (119, 149) through a solar panel connector assembly (130, 132, 152). An S-shaped plate assembly (138, 168) is coupled to the solar panel support assembly (153, 164) through an S-shaped plate extension rod assembly (154, 170), universal joints (123, 155, 156, 171). A control circuitry (102) operates motor (101). A dual-axis motion generation mechanism converts motor rotation into rotational and tilting movements of solar panel support assembly (153, 164) about different axes for solar tracking. FIG. 1
