MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641065164 A) filed by Manipal Academy Of Higher Education on May 23, 2026, for Dual-Band Antenna Device For Ku- And K-Band Applications And Method Thereof.
Inventors include Tejaswinee Gunjal; Praveen Kumar; and Goutham Simha G D.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a dual-band antenna device (100) and method (200) for Ku- and K-Band Applications. The device (100) includes a dielectric substrate (102), a radiating structure (104), a feed structure and a ground plane (106). The dielectric substrate (102) includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The radiating structure (104) includes a plurality of concentric petal-shaped conductive contours (104-1) configured to form multiple resonant current paths of different electrical lengths. The feed structure is electrically coupled to the radiating structure (104) and configured to excite the plurality of concentric petal- shaped conductive contours (104-1). The ground plane (106) is disposed on the second surface of the dielectric substrate (102). The antenna device (100) is configured to provide dual-band radiation characteristics between 13.3–14.9 GHz for the Ku-band and 17.5–26.8 GHz for the K-band within a compact planar profile.
