Abstract: This work presents the complete design and performance analysis of a compact dual branch fractal anterma for 5G C-band applications. The antenna is fabricated using a thin copper radiating patch on an FR-4 epoxy substrate with a dielectric constant of 4.4. The basic structure is a microstrip patch antenna with compact dimensions of 14 mm x 4.2 mm. Fractal geometry is incorporated to achieve multiband and wideband characteristics while maintaining a small footprint. A circular-shaped power divider is integrated to ensure uniform electromagnetic energy distribution. This improves radiation efficiency, directivity, and bandwidth performance. An advanced Defected Ground Structure (DGS) is implemented using vertical and horizontal slots etched in the ground plane. The DGS suppresses surface waves, reduces mutual coupling, and enhances impedance matching. The antenna achieves a return loss of-18.65 dB at 3.65 GHz. It records a VSWR of 1.26, which is well below the limit of 2. The antenna provides a gain of 6,29 dB for reliable transmission. It operates effectively in the 3.5-3.8 GHz frequency range aligned with 5G NR C-band. The design supports applications such as 5G networks, loT, industrial automation, remote healthcare, and marine drone communication. Overall, the antenna meets miniaturization and performance requirements of next-generation wireless systems.
