MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521032165 A) filed by Smartqr Technologies Private Limited on March 31, 2025, for Dual-Mode Diagnostic Device For Monitoring Critical Health Parameters And Method Thereof.

Inventors include Bajaj, Rohit; and Gupta, Hitesh.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: A dual-mode diagnostic device (100) and method (200) for monitoring critical health parameters is disclosed. Device (100) includes positioning unit (102) to position detachable unit (102a) to grip finger of subject to analyze arterial blood across finger when the device (100) is operable in first mode, and cuvette-based unit (102b) to collect blood samples extracted from subject in cuvette when device (100) is operable in second mode. Positioning unit (102) to position sensor unit (104), in communication with positioning unit (102). Positioning unit (102) senses photoplethysmographic (PPG) signals based on infrared (IR) absorption and red-light absorption by arterial blood across finger of subject in first mode, or blood sample extracted from subject in cuvette in second mode. Device (100) includes processor (106) to extract parameters from sensed PPG signals. Device (100) includes machine learning (ML) model (108) in communication with processor (106), to predict critical health parameters based on extracted parameters.
