MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611068512 A) filed by Chandigarh University on June 01, 2026, for Dual-Mode Wearable-Controlled Smart Laptop System With Physical And Virtual Display Interface.
Inventor includes Deven.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dual-mode wearable-controlled smart laptop system configured to operate selectively in a screen-based mode and a screen-less virtual computing mode. The system comprises a central processing and power unit, intelligent wearable finger ring controllers, a physical display unit, smart spectacles for virtual display projection, and a gesture interpretation module. The wearable finger rings detect user gestures, movements, and interaction patterns to perform computing operations including typing, navigation, multitasking, drawing, and application control. In the screen-less mode, customizable virtual workspaces are projected through smart spectacles, thereby improving portability and privacy. The system further includes intelligent wireless charging, adaptive learning mechanisms for personalized interaction, modular expansion interfaces for auxiliary devices, and wearable-based authentication features. By integrating wearable gesture interaction, dual display configurations, modular architecture, adaptive personalization, and centralized power management into a unified ecosystem, the invention provides a flexible, portable, privacy-centric, and future-ready computing platform.
