Abstract: ABSTRACT “DUAL-PASS UNDER-SINK WATER FILTRATION DEVICE” The present disclosure relates to a dual-pass under-sink water filtration device (100) and a corresponding method for purifying and dispensing water. The device comprises an array of filters, a pumping unit (104), a hydropneumatic storage tank (106), a faucet (112), and an ultraviolet (UV) column (102) incorporating a UVC LED and power backup unit. A flow train including a first non-return valve (108), a second non-return valve (110), connecting pipes (114), and a sensor (116) is configured to enable dual-pass flow of purified water through the UV column (102). The arrangement ensures that water is disinfected prior to storage and re-disinfected prior to dispensing, thereby mitigating microbial re-contamination. The sensor (116) activates the UVC LED based on water flow, enabling instant disinfection without warm-up. The power backup unit ensures uninterrupted UV operation during outages. The system enhances safety, reliability, and quality of stored and dispensed water. Figure of Abstract: Fig. 1
