MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641096671 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on August 10, 2026, for Dynamic Industrial Load Emulation System For Real-Time Motor Performance Analysis And Method Thereof.

Inventors include R Raja Singh; Elakshmi Narayanan K; and Pranaav Arjun V H.

The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a dynamic industrial load emulation system (100) comprising an electric motor drive (102) operably connected to an electric motor (104), a DC generator (106) mechanically coupled to the electric motor (104), a speed sensor (108), a torque sensor (110), a voltage sensor (112), a current sensor (114), a power electronic converter (116), a resistive load bank (118), a controller (120) executing an industrial load emulation module (122) and a motor performance analyser module (124), and a graphical user interface (126). The dynamic industrial load emulation system (100) integrates adaptive torque estimation, pulse-width modulation-based load control, real-time motor performance analysis, user-selectable load characteristics, and visualization capabilities to enable realistic, flexible, and repeatable testing and evaluation of electrical motor drive systems under diverse industrial operating conditions without the need for actual industrial loads, thereby reducing testing complexity, equipment cost, space requirements, and energy consumption.
