Abstract: ABSTRACT DYNAMIC LOAD REDISTRIBUTION BACKPACK SYSTEM WITH TRI-REGION FORCE SENSING AND ADAPTIVE CALIBRATION A dynamic load redistribution backpack system (100) comprises a backpack frame assembly (102), bilateral shoulder strap assemblies (104), a hip belt assembly (106), and a lumbar pad assembly (108). Force sensing elements (110) integrated within the assemblies simultaneously acquire a shoulder contact force measurement (S-1), a hip contact force measurement (H-1), and a lumbar contact force measurement (L-1). A multi-region load distribution analysis module (114) derives load distribution parameters from the contact force measurements. An adaptive mechanical load redistribution module (116) determines load transfer adjustments based on the load distribution parameters. An adaptive mechanical frame tension assembly (118) actuates load redistribution across the shoulder region, the iliac crest region, and the lower back region through controlled physical tension adjustment. A subject-adaptive mechanical load profile calibration module (120) continuously updates carrier- specific load distribution parameters through physical adjustment of structural frame and strap components based on longitudinal contact force behaviour.
