Abstract: The present invention relates to eco-friendly mosquito repellent sticks prepared from floral waste, particularly marigold petals (Tagetes erecta and/or Tagetes patula), combined with wood powder, natural binders, and plant-based essential oils. The sticks are formed by drying, grinding, mixing, and extrusion processes. Upon combustion, the sticks release natural mosquito-repelling compounds while exhibiting reduced emissions of air pollutants compared to conventional repellents. The invention provides a biodegradable, cost-effective, and sustainable solution for mosquito control and floral waste management.
