MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621108520 A) filed by Pranesha Dixith; and Sujata on September 09, 2026, for Edge-Computing Data Processing Device For Industrial Safety.
Inventors include Pranesha Dixith; and Sujata.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT EDGE-COMPUTING DATA PROCESSING DEVICE FOR INDUSTRIAL SAFETY An edge-computing data processing apparatus and method for localized industrial safety management. The apparatus comprises an IP67-sealed enclosure having external convective heatsink fins and vibration-damping mounting brackets. The device integrates a galvanically isolated ingress interface for multi-modal sensors, a multi-core processor executing a deterministic safety runtime, an independent hardware watchdog supervisor, and a direct hardware-driven dual-channel solid-state relay interlock matrix. Upon detecting an imminent hazard via a dynamic multi-variable threshold matrix, the processor triggers a direct hardware interrupt line bypassing operating system network stacks to de-energize external machine emergency stop contactors in under 50 milliseconds. Incident diagnostics are buffered in local non-volatile memory powered by a capacitive hold-up circuit and asynchronously synchronized to cloud infrastructure upon link restoration. (FIG. 1)
