Abstract: Edge Computing Framework for Real-Time Analysis of Drone-Based Remote Sensing Data is the proposed invention. The disclosed invention provides an adaptive edge computing framework for real time analysis of drone-based remote sensing data using Event-Driven Spatial Intelligence Processing (EDSIP) and an Edge Reinforcement Learning Scheduler (ERLS). The framework acquires synchronised multisensory data from RGB, multispectral, thermal, LiDAR, GPS, and inertial sensors and evaluates scene complexity via spatial entropy, spectral variability, object density, and environmental uncertainty. Computational overhead is minimised by suppressing redundant background information and selectively processing mission relevant image regions. A reinforcement learning scheduler dynamically assigns analytical tasks to onboard processors, mobile edge gateways, and cloud infrastructure based on battery status, processor utilisation, communication quality, mission urgency, and anticipated flight duration. A dynamic sensor fusion engine fuses heterogeneous sensing data for autonomous object recognition, environmental monitoring, infrastructure inspection, disaster assessment and anomaly detection. Explainable artificial intelligence provides transparent decision support, and online incremental learning improves analytical performance on the fly. The proposed framework achieves substantial latency, bandwidth and energy reductions while enabling scalable, autonomous, real-time drone remote sensing in a variety of operating environments.
