MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611072706 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College on June 11, 2026, for Edge-Computing Smart Pole Assembly.

Inventors include Dr. Rakesh Srivastava; Ms. Kshama Shukla; Dr. Prashant Agarwal; and Manya Rai.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is an edge-computing smart pole assembly comprising a hollow pole body configured as a load-bearing outdoor support structure and defining an internal volume along a longitudinal axis. An internal compute chamber is arranged within the internal volume and receives a removable edge-compute cartridge comprising an electronic computing module. A vibration-isolation frame supports the removable edge-compute cartridge inside the internal compute chamber and defines a mechanical load path between the cartridge and the hollow pole body to reduce transfer of pole-induced vibration to the electronic computing module. A heat- transfer saddle thermally couples the removable edge-compute cartridge to an inner wall of the hollow pole body and defines a thermal conduction path from the electronic computing module toward the hollow pole body, allowing the pole body to function as a heat-spreading structural member. A sealed access hatch permits cartridge removal and replacement, and a separated cable-routing channel routes service cable.
