Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). Specifically, the present disclosure relates to an electrocatalyst comprising combination of M1-metal M2-metal oxide supported onto a support, wherein the M2 metal oxide is decorated or deposited onto the support, and a process of preparation thereof. The present disclosure also relates to a proton exchange membrane fuel cell comprising said electrocatalyst as coated onto an electrode.
