Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (100) and a method (400) for determining concentrations of coexisting species using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The system (100) includes a three-electrode configuration (102) including a working electrode (102-2), a reference electrode (102-4), and a counter electrode (102-6), an excitation source (104), a data acquisition interface (106), and a computational processing unit (108) including a machine learning model (108-2) and a dimensionality reduction unit (108-4). The machine learning model (108-2) generates extracted feature sets (210) from decision structures (208) based on impedance spectra (202), and the dimensionality reduction unit (108-4) reduces the extracted feature sets (210) independent of the impedance spectra (202) to generate a concentration estimate (216). Unlike conventional approaches relying on equivalent circuit modelling or raw impedance processing, the present disclosure enables accurate simultaneous determination of concentrations of coexisting species through structured feature extraction, dimensionality reduction and predictive modelling.
