Abstract: A locking arrangement for a differential assembly includes an armature moved between first and second positions by a biasing member and an electromagnet. A stop arrangement maintains a spacing between the armature and the electromagnet (or a stator holding the electromagnet). The spacing allows the armature to rotate relative to the stator or electromagnet without drag from the stator or electromagnet. The stop arrangement can be monolithic with a gear housing or mounted to the gear housing as a separate piece.
