Abstract: The present invention relates to an energy-efficient adaptive threat-detection and protective wearable device 100 configured to provide intelligent personal safety assistance through automated distress detection and multi-mode protective response mechanisms. The wearable device 100 comprises a plurality of sensing modules 104 including a heart rate sensor 104a, sound detection sensor 104b, force sensing resistor 104c, voice recognition module 104d, barometric pressure sensor 104e, and GPS module 104f operatively connected with a microcontroller unit 106 for continuously monitoring physiological and environmental conditions associated with a user. Upon detection of a distress condition, the device 100 activates emergency response operations including transmission of SMS alerts through a communication module 108, activation of a buzzer unit 112, and selective operation of a dual-mode irritant dispersion mechanism 110. The device further comprises a power management arrangement 116 including a rechargeable battery 116a and a solar energy harvesting panel 116b for uninterrupted operation.
