MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621077419 A) filed by Ansicht Voneden India on June 23, 2026, for Engineered Exosomal Dna Cassettes And Scaffold For Cerebellar And Spinocerebellar Neuron Repair.
Inventor includes Dr. Ajinkya Inamdar.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT ENGINEERED EXOSOMAL DNA CASSETTES AND SCAFFOLD FOR CEREBELLAR AND SPINOCEREBELLAR NEURON REPAIR The instant disclosure provides a concoction of 45 engineered synthetic DNA cassettes (SEQ ID NOs: 1 to 45) for cerebellar and spinocerebellar neuron repair, classified into cytoprotective and oxidative-stress, immune-modulation, pathology-driver silencing, partial-reprogramming, neurotrophic-ligand, growth-oriented-receptor, guidance, pathway-antagonist and molecular-movement modules, the cargo of which is loaded into or displayed upon engineered extracellular vesicles by a multi-pathway sorting-motif architecture. A reversible dCas9-KRAB repressor lowers ataxin-3 toward a physiological level, optionally allele-selectively; mitochondrial superoxide dismutase-2 and BCL-2 provide mitochondrial, oxidative-stress and anti-apoptotic support; a partial-reprogramming module is delivered through a prolyl-endopeptidase and thimet-oligopeptidase cleavable linker; each neurotrophic ligand is co-presented with its cognate receptor; and a kinesin motor domain (SEQ ID NO: 45) restores axonal transport. The instant disclosure further provides an electrically semi-conductive hydrogel micro-thread scaffold article incorporating the engineered extracellular-vesicle population along a bilateral exponential spatial gradient and a temporally gated delayed-release sequence, and methods of manufacture thereof.
