Abstract: The redesigned buccal tube holder utilised in orthodontic procedures—specifically, when buccal tubes are placed and bonded to molar teeth—is the subject of the current invention. The apparatus consists of a rubber stop placed along the metal extension and a metallic holder body with an extended arm designed to firmly engage and support a buccal tube. During clinical manipulation, the rubber stop serves as a limiting and cushioning component that improves grip, allows for regulated positioning, and keeps the buccal tube from slipping accidentally. The incorporation of the rubber stop improves tactile control, stabilises the buccal tube during intraoral placement, and reduces the risk of accidental dropping or displacement, thereby improving chair-side efficiency and operator convenience. Additionally, the rubber stop provides a protective interface that minimises damage to surrounding oral tissues and enamel surfaces. The metal extension facilitates improved access and visibility in the posterior region of the oral cavity, allowing precise positioning even in limited working spaces. The redesigned buccal tube holder is easy to use, affordable, reusable, and compatible with traditional sterilisation techniques. The idea offers a practical way to improve orthodontic buccal tube placement control, safety, and accuracy.
