Abstract: ENHANCED DATA RECOVERY PROCEDURE Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to enhanced data recovery. In a method, a first apparatus transmits, to a second apparatus and via a first protocol layer of the second apparatus, a feedback message of a first data packet from the second apparatus. If a first bearer in an unacknowledged mode (UM) of a second protocol layer is activated, the first apparatus performs at least one of: receiving a retransmission of the first data packet from the second protocol layer of the second apparatus without receiving a retransmission of a data packet associated with the UM; receiving a retransmission of a second data packet associated with the UM from the first protocol layer of the second apparatus; or receiving a retransmission of the second data packet associated with the UM from the second protocol layer of the second apparatus after transmitting the feedback message.
