Abstract: ABSTRACT: Title: Enhanced Energy Management and Control in Micro-Grids The invention relates to an intelligent energy management and control system (100) for micro-grids incorporating distributed energy resources (DERs) such as solar photovoltaic (PV), wind turbines, diesel generators, and battery energy storage systems. The system (100) operates in both grid-connected and islanded modes, ensuring continuous, efficient, and resilient power supply. A hierarchical control architecture is employed with primary (droop control), secondary (adaptive PI control), and tertiary (machine learning-based economic dispatch) layers. An intelligent Energy Management System (EMS) enables real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and optimal scheduling using optimization algorithms like Genetic Algorithms and Particle Swarm Optimization. The system (100) also includes demand response mechanisms, blockchain-based secure energy transaction logging, and supports distributed decision-making via a Multi-Agent System (MAS). Seamless mode transitions and cyber-physical security enhance reliability and scalability. This innovation enables efficient renewable energy integration, dynamic load balancing, and improved grid resilience for sustainable decentralized power systems.
