Abstract: Abstract ENHANCEMENT ON SIDELINK POSITIONING Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to apparatuses, methods, and computer readable storage media for sidelink positioning. A first apparatus receives, from a second apparatus, first assistance information of a positioning process for positioning the first apparatus, the first assistance information comprising a process identifier of the positioning process and at least a partial list of nodes associated with the positioning process. The first apparatus transmits, to the nodes in the positioning process, forwarding information on the positioning process, the forwarding information comprising the process identifier and a plurality of gateway identifiers associated with the positioning process. The first apparatus then communicates data with at least a part of the nodes based on the forwarding information irrespective of positioning protocol. In this way, sidelink positioning data can be efficiently delivered among network nodes irrespective of usage of positioning protocols, various coverage conditions and/or roles in sidelink positioning.
