The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The Equity Research Tool is an Al-powered application designed to automate and enhance the analysis of financial news articles. In today’s data-driven world, investors and analysts face significant challenges in processing large volumes of unstructured news content efficiently and extracting meaningful insights in a timely manner. This system addresses the problem by allowing users to input multiple news article URLs, from which relevant textual data is automatically extracted using web scraping techniques. The extracted content is then processed, cleaned, and divided into smaller chunks for better handling and improved computational efficiency. These text chunks are further transformed into vector embeddings using HuggingFace models, which capture the semantic meaning of the content. The embeddings are stored in a FAISS vector database, enabling fast and efficient similarity-based retrieval of relevant information. The system integrates a Large Language Model (LLaMA 3.1 via Groq API) to understand user queries and generate context-aware, accurate responses based on retrieved data. By combining vector search with natural language understanding, the application provides reliable answers along with source references, ensuring transparency and trust. The tool is developed using Streamlit for the frontend interface and LangChain for managing the workflow and integration of components. Overall, the system reduces manual effort, enhances information accessibility, and supports faster, data-driven decision-making in equity research by leveraging modem artificial intelligence technologies.
