Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-implemented adaptive routing method for dynamic communication networks. The method acquires network state data, determines feasible network edges independently of routing costs, and computes time-dependent edge potentials. Contiguous feasible corridors containing edges with potentials exceeding a search energy value are identified and characterized based on excess potential, barrier height, effective width, and barrier action. A penetrability value is derived from the barrier characterization and combined with route quality to selectively admit or prioritize bounded multi-edge macro-transitions during graph search. Each macro-transition retains the ordered sequence of corresponding physical edges and their actual routing costs, enabling accurate route reconstruction without introducing nonexistent or infeasible links. Barrier processing parameters are adaptively adjusted according to network potential volatility and search stagnation. The method further supports bounded search expansion, configurable termination criteria, and localized rerouting while preserving feasible route prefixes. The invention operates using classical computing hardware without requiring quantum-processing hardware.
