Abstract: The present study focuses on the experimental investigation of a solar air heater integrated with evacuated tubes and internally fitted baffle plates to enhance thermal performance. Solar air heaters are widely used for space heating, drying, and industrial applications; however, their efficiency is often limited due to poor heat transfer between the absorber surface and air. In this work, evacuated glass tubes are utilized to minimize heat losses, while baffle plates are introduced inside the airflow passage to increase turbulence and heat transfer rate. The combined effect of evacuated tubes and baffle plates improves heat absorption and air temperature rise. Experimental analysis is conducted under varying solar radiation conditions to evaluate parameters such as outlet air temperature, thermal efficiency, and heat transfer enhancement. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in efficiency compared to conventional solar air heaters, making the system suitable for sustainable and energy-efficient applications.
