Abstract: The innovation of the present study is the development of sustainable concrete using banana stem bioenzyme as a natural admixture. The innovation presents an eco- friendly and biodegradable alternative to conventional chemical admixtures used in concrete production. The process involves the collection of banana stems, extraction of the juice and controlled fermentation to produce bioenzyme suitable for concrete applications. The prepared bio-enzyme is incorporated into concrete mixes at different proportions and evaluated for various engineering properties. The concrete specimens are tested for workability, compressive strength, water absorption and durability to determine the optimum dosage of bio-enzyme without affecting structural performance. The results indicate that the addition of banana stem bio-enzyme improves workability, reduces water requirement, lowers water absorption and enhances the durability of concrete. At the optimum dosage the compressive strength is maintained or improved due to better hydration and bonding between cement and aggregates. This innovation demonstrates an effective approach to utilizing agricultural waste in concrete production and promotes sustainable construction practices. The developed bioenzyme concrete has the potential to reduce dependence on chemical admixtures, minimize environmental pollution, and provide an economical and environmentally friendly alternative for future construction applications.
