Abstract: The present invention is related to a multimodal neuroimaging system having XAI for early and progressive diagnosis of AD· The multimodal neuroimaging system is capable of using a multimodal feature fusion system to combine MRI and PET neuroimaging data‚ thus capturing entire structural and metabolic characteristics of a brain· We adopt a hybrid deep learning architecture based on CNNs and transformer-based models to classify diseases and predict prognosis· In addition‚ to assist the physician in the decision-making process‚ we employ an XAI module which generates clinically interpretable results‚ such as saliency mapping‚ region-wise brain-wise and modality-wise contribution· An adaptive learning mechanism allows any of the models to be continuously trained on new longitudinal data· A secured data management system anonymizes‚ encrypts and controls access to the data· Altogether‚ this may provide a scalable‚ interpretable‚ and privacy-preserving system for improving early diagnosis and clinical decision support for patients with AD·
