MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641030934 A) filed by Adishree Gupta on March 14, 2026, for Explainable Multimodal Financial Reasoning With Affective Signal Fusion For Market Decision Intelligence.
Inventor includes Adishree Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: Financial markets are characterized by rapidly changing conditions and high volatility, which often cause conventional predictive models to fail in capturing behavioral and contextual market signals. The present work introduces an explainable multimodal financial reasoning system that integrates quantitative financial indicators with affective signals derived from influential market actors. The system processes heterogeneous inputs including market time-series data, financial news streams, and broadcast or social media discourse through a multimodal data acquisition pipeline. An affective analysis module based on techniques from Affective Computing extracts sentiment and emotional cues expressed by policymakers, corporate executives, analysts, and other market influencers. These affective indicators are fused with numerical financial features using a multimodal reasoning architecture designed to model volatility-aware market dynamics. The system further incorporates an explainability layer using approaches from Explainable Artificial Intelligence to generate interpretable reasoning traces that highlight the signals contributing to predicted market movements and risk assessments. The implemented framework produces transparent decision intelligence outputs that assist in interpreting market trends, volatility shifts, and potential trading opportunities, thereby enabling interpretable and adaptive financial analysis in complex market environments.
