Abstract: ABSTRACT EXTENDABLE ELECTRICAL POWER CONVERSION SYSTEM WITH COMMON-GROUND SWITCHED-CAPACITOR MULTILEVEL INVERTER The present invention relates to an electrical power conversion system (100) with a common-ground multilevel inverter (100) to convert DC power from multiple energy sources into AC power. The electrical power conversion system (100) comprises a basic unit (110), at least one multisource extension unit (120) cascaded with the basic unit (110), and an output stage (130). The basic unit (110) is adaptable to be incrementally expanded using identical extension units, enabling systematic generation of higher voltage levels without redesigning the core topology. All DC sources and the output terminals share a common ground connection, thereby eliminating leakage current. The switched capacitors are configured to self-balance voltages through series-parallel charging and discharging paths without requiring voltage sensors or feedback controllers. The semiconductor switches and switched capacitors achieve voltage boosting, enabling the output voltage to exceed a magnitude of any individual DC input voltage without requiring separate DC-DC boost converters or transformers.
