The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an externally connectable intelligent vehicle safety system and method for real-time driver drowsiness detection, vehicle accident monitoring, and automated emergency alert generation. The system comprises a vision acquisition module configured to continuously capture facial images of a driver, an embedded processing unit configured to analyse facial landmarks including eye aspect ratio, blink behaviour, mouth opening, and head movement for determining a driver drowsiness condition, an inertial sensing module configured to detect vehicle impact, abnormal acceleration, rollover, or vehicle inclination, a positioning module configured to acquire geographical coordinates, a wireless communication module configured to automatically transmit emergency notifications, and a vehicle warning interface configured to activate warning devices including a horn and hazard lights. The system continuously performs driver monitoring and accident detection, generates graduated warning signals upon detecting drowsiness, automatically determines vehicle location following an accident, and transmits emergency information to predefined recipients without manual intervention, thereby improving road safety, reducing emergency response time, and enabling retrofit deployment in a wide variety of vehicles.
