Abstract: This invention provides a novel system aimed at promoting healthy viewing habits and safeguarding the well-being of individuals, particularly children, by maintaining an appropriate viewing distance from television and mobile screens. Utilizing a camera (101) integrated with distance detection technology, the system continuously monitors the proximity of viewers to the screen. A Microcontroller (102) processes the captured images to detect when the viewer is too close, triggering an alert mechanism that displays a warning on the screen, broadcasts an audible alert, or blocks the screen entirely. For televisions, the system can either utilize a Wi-Fi module (104) to send signals to a companion application (105) or directly control the screen via a Relay (103). For mobile devices, a background application (105) freezes the screen and overlays a warning until a safe distance is restored. Additionally, a screen time management feature allows users to set time limits, automatically turning off the screen when exceeded. This innovative solution addresses the growing concern over the adverse effects of excessive screen time, offering a practical and effective approach to reducing the risk of eye strain, poor posture, and related health issues.
