The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: A fabric rustling sound measurement device (1) configured to objectively measure rustling noise generated due to frictional interaction between textile fabric samples is disclosed. The device (1) comprises an enclosure having a testing compartment (11) and a driving zone (21) separated by a separator plate (10). The testing compartment (11) comprises a driving fabric roller (12), a driven fabric roller (13), and one or more fabric clamps (18, 19) configured to maintain fabric samples in tangential frictional contact. A driving arrangement (21) comprising a drive motor (22), drive wheels (23), transport wheels (24), and driven wheels (25) imparts rotational movement to the driving fabric roller (12). A first noise sensor (33) positioned within the testing compartment (11) detects rustling sound generated by the fabric samples, while a second noise sensor (34) positioned within the driving zone (21) detects operational noise.
