Abstract: [038] The present invention discloses a face recognition based door access-control system with microcontroller-actuated electronic locking and intrusion alerting. The system comprises a video capture device, a host computing device, an enrolled-user facial embedding database, a microcontroller, a relay module, an electronic lock, visual indicators, and an alerting module. The video capture device captures a live video stream of an entrance area, and the host computing device detects a face, extracts a numerical facial embedding, and compares the embedding with stored enrolled-user embeddings using a distance or similarity metric against a predefined threshold. When an authorised person is recognised, the host computing device transmits an access-granted decision to the microcontroller, which actuates the relay module to unlock a solenoid lock for a predefined dwell time and then re-locks the door. When an unknown person is detected, the door remains locked, a warning indicator is activated, an image frame is stored with a timestamp, and an electronic security alert is sent to a registered user.
