Abstract: Agriculture consumes a large portion of freshwater resources, and inefficient irrigation practices often result in water wastage and reduced crop productivity. To address these challenges, this project proposes a Predictive AI-Based Solar Irrigation System Using ESP32 for Water Conservation. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a capacitive soil moisture sensor and a DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor to continuously monitor environmental conditions. The collected data is transmitted to the ThingSpeak cloud platform through WiFi for real-time monitoring and analysis. A Streamlit dashboard is developed to display live sensor readings, graphical trends, crop selection options, and irrigation status. The system incorporates a TinyML-inspired prediction model that estimates soil dryness based on soil moisture, temperature, and humidity values. According to the predicted dryness score, a 12V DC water pump is automatically controlled through an L293D motor driver module. Powered by a solar panel and rechargeable battery, the proposed system ensures energy-efficient operation, reduces water wastage, minimizes manual intervention, and promotes sustainable smart agriculture through intelligent irrigation management.
