MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611109703 A) filed by Manav Rachna University on September 12, 2026, for Fault-Recovery Flow-Control Valve System.

Inventors include Dr Vivek Sharma; and Dr. Bhim Singh.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is a fault-recovery flow-control valve system comprising a valve body, a closure element connected to a valve stem, a primary linear actuator, a position sensor, a downstream-flow sensor, a processor and a short-stroke recovery assembly comprising an energy-storing spring, a charging member, a release latch, an axial impulse collar and an adjustable stroke stop. The processor receives requested valve position, measured stem position, actuator-load response and downstream-flow response. Upon increased actuator effort occurring without corresponding stem travel and flow response, continued steady actuator driving is reduced, the energy- storing spring is charged through a controlled stroke, and the axial impulse collar is released to impart a short axial impulse to the valve stem in the commanded travel direction. Subsequent stem movement and corresponding downstream-flow response determine return to ordinary regulation.
