Abstract: This invention discloses a federated learning framework for social media platforms configured to provide privacy-preserving personalization and decentralized misinformation detection. In contrast, conventional centralized machine learning systems that store user data on remote servers, the proposed framework performs model training locally on user devices and transmits only encrypted, differential privacy protected gradients to a federated aggregation server. The framework incorporates Non-IID adaptive aggregation, block chain based authentication of model updates, secure aggregation protocols, and a hybrid global-personalized learning architecture to improve accuracy across heterogeneous user populations. The system enables real-time fake-news detection, sentiment analysis, content moderation, behavioural analytics, and personalized feed ranking without exposing raw user information. The invention further reduces communication overhead, enhances scalability, prevents malicious model manipulation, and improves transparency and trust in AI-driven social media operations. The framework provides a secure, scalable, and privacy-centric alternative for large-scale intelligent social networking platforms, ensuring decentralized and efficient federated AI model governance.
