Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for machine learning techniques that support feature propagation. In one aspect, a method may include receiving data for processing by a first machine learning model, determining a propagation field identifies latent features within the data, and determining, with the first machine learning model, output data based on the propagation field and data. A feature propagation process of the first machine learning model may be guided by the latent features from the propagation field. Guiding the feature propagation process may include calculating initial propagation values that correspond to values of the propagation field. Additionally or alternatively, guiding the feature propagation process may include comparing segments of the propagation field against one or more thresholds and performing feature propagation for portions of the data that satisfy the one or more thresholds.
