Abstract: Disclosed is a field-monitoring and agricultural-advisory delivery system comprising a field sensor node, a communication gateway, an advisory delivery terminal, and a processor. The field sensor node includes an elongated probe carrier insertable into soil, a movable and lockable depth-setting collar bearing against a soil surface, a subsurface sensor array, and an above-ground enclosure containing an atmospheric sensor array behind a ventilated weather shield. The processor receives colocated subsurface and atmospheric measurements through the communication gateway and combines the measurements with external weather information to generate an agricultural advisory. A telephony interface and an audio transducer of the advisory delivery terminal convert the agricultural advisory into a local-language audible recommendation.
