Abstract: FILTER IN A WATER PURIFIER FOR ACCUMULATING WATER CONTAMINANTS The disclosure herein generally relate to water purifiers and more particularly to a filter (100) in the water purifier for accumulating water contaminants (C) (suspended particles) thereon. The filter (100) includes an outer portion (102), an inner portion (104) and a plurality of contaminant retention members (106) provided on at least one of the outer portion (102) and the inner portion (104) for facilitating accumulation of water contaminants (C) thereon. Increases lifetime of an activated carbon filter (100) in the water purifier as well as to allow full utilization of functional characteristics of the activated carbon filter (100). Increases surface area of the activated carbon filter (100) for better accumulation of water contaminants (C) thereon. Eliminates the usage of additional particulate filter positioned in between the sediment filter and activated carbon filter (100) of the water purifier. Fig. 1
