MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411096289 A) filed by Purflux Engine Systems India Pvt. Ltd. on December 06, 2024, for Flame Arrestor For An Air Filter.

Inventor includes Rajeev Kaushik.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is a flame arrestor (109) for an air filter. The flame arrestor (109) comprises a perforated plate (110) and one or more locking arrangements (202) provided on the perforated plate (110). The one or more unidirectional locking arrangements (202) can be press-fitted on pegs (203) provided in the air filter (100). The locking arrangements (202) may have circular geometry with a plurality of slots (204) enabling ease of assembly of the flame arrestor (109) and grip on the peg (203). The flame arrestor (109) eliminates the need for the heat stacking process during the assembly of the air filter with the flame arrestor and thus reduces the cost. The locking arrangements (202) ensure that the flame arrestor (109) does not get disassembled during its operation due to vibration. [
