The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a flexible slant rack specifically designed for the preparation, handling, and incubation of bacterial slant cultures in laboratory test tubes. The rack comprises a front panel with multiple snap-in slots configured to securely hold cotton-plugged test tubes, particularly 15 mL round-bottomed glass tubes, in a uniformJnclined .orientat-ion-suitable“for agar ‘ slant formation. A hinged rear flap allows adjustable angular positioning, enabling consistent slope formation of solid media during cooling and solidification. The rack further incorporates moulded base ridges to enhance stability on laboratory work surfaces and prevent unintended movement. The inclined arrangement ensures uniform media distribution, improved visibility, and reduced risk of tube rolling or spillage during slant preparation. The rack is compact, reusable, and ergonomically designed, making it suitable for routine microbiological workflows, including culture preparation, teaching laboratories, and diagnostic applications. The invention provides a practical and standardised alternative to conventional improvised slanting methods, improving reproducibility and laboratory efficiency
