The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a floating bio-electrochemical reactor system for wastewater treatment and electricity generation. The system comprises a support structure adapted to float on a water surface, a cathode assembly supported by the support structure and positioned at an air-water interface, an anode assembly supported by the support structure and positioned below the cathode assembly within wastewater, a separator disposed between the cathode assembly and the anode assembly, and an external circuit operatively connected between the anode assembly and the cathode assembly. During operation, organic matter is oxidized at the anode assembly, electrons are transferred through the external circuit, oxygen is reduced at the cathode assembly, and electrical energy is generated. The system thereby treats wastewater while recovering electrical energy in a floating reactor architecture. Fig. 1 Dated May 12, 2026 / Kumar Tushar Srivastava IN/PA-3973 Agent for the Applicant
