MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621063362 A) filed by Lakshmi Narain College Of Technology Excellence on May 19, 2026, for Floating Solar Panel System With Integrated Cleaning.
Inventors include Satyarth Tiwari; and Dr. Deepika Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: A floating solar panel system with integrated cleaning, comprising a plurality of open-top floatable bodies 101, a solar panel 102 to generate electrical energy while maintaining maximum exposure to sunlight, a robotic link 103 having an electromagnet 104 to magnetically couple with a corresponding robotic link 103 of an adjacent floatable body 101 to thereby form an interconnected modular floating solar array capable of collective alignment and structural flexibility, a plurality of HDPE static floats 201 to provide primary buoyant support and maintain baseline flotation stability, a plurality of inflatable pads 202 to provide secondary adjustable buoyancy and enable dynamic leveling of the body 101 relative to the water surface, an imaging unit 106 work in synchronization with a dust sensor to detect surface contamination, debris accumulation, and particulate density on the solar panel 102, and accordingly a cleaning unit to perform targeted cleaning operations based on detected contamination parameters.
