MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611064410 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University on May 21, 2026, for Food Storage Device With Active Moisture Mitigation.

Inventors include Amita Arora; Muskan; Kapil; and Deepanshu Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: A food storage device with active moisture mitigation, comprising a housing 101 and a rotatable lid 102 arranged at an apex portion to allow placement of cooked or freshly prepared food items, a temperature sensor to continuously monitor surface and ambient temperature conditions and generates temperature data indicative of thermal gradients, a plurality of humidity sensors detect relative humidity levels and moisture concentration variations across different regions, cascading slider 103 integrated at inner lateral sides extend flap 104 beneath stacked or layered food items to selectively elevate them and release trapped moisture pockets, a plurality of iris holes 105 carved on the base regulate internal airflow and direct accumulated condensate toward a tray 106, a convex framework 107 guides steam toward the lid for condensation collection within grooves 109, while an articulated arm 110 with a wiping unit 111 displaces condensed droplets based on detected moisture levels.
