Abstract: There is provided techniques for foveated rendering of an XR environment. A method is performed by a controller. The method comprises obtaining, using an eye-tracker, a gaze direction of a user towards a point in the XR environment. The method comprises obtaining a gaze accuracy for using the eye-tracker to perform eye-tracking of objects in a vicinity of this point in the XR environment. The method comprises determining a size of a region in which this point is located based on the gaze accuracy. The size of the region decreases with increased gaze accuracy. The method comprises rendering the XR environment whilst performing the eye-tracking. Higher resolution rendering is used inside the region than outside the region.
