Abstract: The present invention agri-technology adoption in distressed agro-climatic regions is often discontinuous due to fragmented tools, upfront costs, and lack of accountability. The invention discloses an institutional framework, FPO-as-a-Service (FaaS), in which a Farmer Producer Organization operates as an integrated service platform delivering bundled agricultural services to member farmers via subscription-based or pay-per-use mechanisms. The framework comprises five service pillars: Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Knowledge-as-a-Service, Market Linkage-as-a-Service, Financial-as-a-Service, and Governance-as-a-Service. An AI-enabled institutional intelligence layer operates primarily at the FPO level to perform risk prediction (weather/pest/yield), optimization (machinery scheduling and warehouse utilization), personalization (cluster-level advisory nudges), scoring (creditworthiness and insurance eligibility), and governance functions (audit trails and compliance monitoring). The institutional model shifts risk-bearing and service integration from individual farmers to collective intermediation, improving adoption persistence, income stability, cost efficiency, and sustainable practice uptake in vulnerable regions.
