Abstract: [Problem to be Solved] To reduce damage to an electrical component mounted in a powertrain compartment when an impact load is applied to a front portion of an electric vehicle. [Solution] A front structure for an electric vehicle includes side members 10, a subframe 36 extending in a width direction so as to couple vehicle body side portions on respective sides, and an electrical component attached to the subframe 36, a fragile portion 11 is provided at a middle portion of each of the side members 10, the fragile portion 11 having rigidity lower than a rear portion of the side members 10 and being configured to be bendable so as to protrude outward when a load is applied to a front portion of the side members 10, and coupling between each of the vehicle body side portions and the subframe 36 is configured to be releasable when the fragile portion 11 of the corresponding side members 10 is bent.
